About Rionna

MyRionna Morgan life is one of varied paths. I’ve raced around barrels in a rodeo arena, counted people’s money at a bank, sat cold, barefooted and scared in a police station in the middle of the night, watched my mom die in a lonely hospital bed. I’ve left an old life, dead broke in search of a new future. I’ve had great joys, meeting the man of my dreams and falling in love in that second, holding my daughters on the day they were born. I’ve had great sorrows, being betrayed by those closest to me. Through it all, the laughter, the adventure, the sadness, one thing has remained constant, my love of the written word. As I walked each avenue, from scribbling in notebooks before I could even write to teaching the students in my class the magic and power of words, writing has been my center. I can't wait to share it with you!

My favorite things: Thunder on a stormy night, the moon in a midnight sky, green of a new spring leaf, chocolate cake, George Strait, country dancing, stores with cowboy hats, warm summer days, snow on Christmas, laughter of children, books and horses!

The Wanting Heart
Is a sexy, intriguing, modern-day western romance.  A fun summer read.”  -- Kat Martin, New York Times Best Selling Author
The Wanting Heart by Rionna Morgan
Katherine White, a barrel racer from Colorado, lives in a fast-paced world where rhinestones shine, hooves pound, and dreams come true.  She plans on winning World Champion Barrel Racer and being with her friends until she graduates from college.
She doesn’t plan on the man who broke her heart strolling back into her life.  She doesn’t plan on finding solace in a charming stranger’s smile or falling victim to his knife.
Blake Spencer, the man who broke her heart, is all cowboy—from the hat on his head to the dust on his boots. He thought it’d be easy, coming back to town, bowing his head a little, saying he was sorry, and all would be forgiven.  But what he didn’t know, what he didn’t plan on, was that the girl he thought he loved had become the woman he couldn’t have. If he doesn’t succeed in changing her mind, it won’t only cost him Kate’s love—it will cost Kate her life.
Will Kate survive the stalking of a serial killer and find what her heart truly wants?

Love’s Justice.
SaraLove's Justice by Rionna Morganh Johnson is a profiler in Portland, Oregon. She thinks she has successfully moved beyond the pain of her mother’s death fifteen years ago. However, when Justin Breslow shows up at her office claiming to be an investigative reporter from Dallas wanting to do a feature on her mother, Sarah realizes the pain has just been dormant. She agrees to work with Justin; she’s always wanted to retrace her mother’s final days, but she has no intention of sharing family secrets with a perfect stranger.

Sarah and Justin unravel a plot more complex and sinister than they expected. They pursue a trail of deceit and corruption to a women’s prison in Alabama, a centuries old hotel in Georgia and a family ranch in Texas. Nothing is simple or as it seems. Along the way, Sarah tries not to fall for Justin’s Southern charm, and Justin fights to resist Sarah’s beauty and sharp intellect.

This unlikely duo will find more than they ever hoped to—in the prison, in their own backyards, and in each other’s arms. Whether they survive to enjoy their discoveries is the final mystery.
