The Ride
This five-day ride focus' on the Lincoln County War, tracing Billy the Kid's hoof-prints from the time of John Henry Tunstall's murder to Billy's  killing of Deputy Sheriffs Olinger and Bell and his final escape from the Lincoln County Courthouse. The terrain we ride through is at an elevation of approximately 6,500 feet.  High cedars, pinion pine trees, rolling hills, open grass meadows and majestic mountains abound.  But first, some history of Billy ......
