Toby Keith's I Love This Bar and Grill will not open at The Banks in December as had been previously announced.

The restaurant posted on its Facebook page that the last phases of construction took longer than expected so the restaurant couldn't get inspected this week.
"We really, really wanted to be open by now, but we just are not quite there yet," the Facebook post read. "Trust me, no one is more disappointed than we are."
The restaurant said that as soon as it passes inspections, it will open.
A restaurant spokesman said the venue will not have a grand opening, but will open quietly once they are able to.
Two restaurants have already opened at The Banks in recent months -- The Holy Grail and Johnny Rockets.
The Christian Moerlein Lager House is scheduled to open Feb. 27. It too has been delayed several times because of construction issues.

Tickets sell fast for Toby Keith concert
 

Toby Keith appears to be a popular choice for next summer's U.S. Cellular Summer Jam country concert during Nebraskaland Days.

NLD officials said tickets went on sale Monday at 9 a.m. and within an hour and a half those for the Golden Circle were sold. The Golden Circle is the fenced off area directly in front of the stage on the Wild West Arena floor. Tickets were $89 each and were limited to 300 people.

According to David Fudge, NLD executive director, the 500 early bird general admission tickets were gone by noon. They had been priced at $55 and will now jump to $59. The scenario mimics last year when the first 500 discounted tickets for the Brad Paisley concert sold out in two and a half hours.

"Whenever you get that kind of response on tickets that means the public's interested and likes what you have to offer," said Fudge. "I think the board did a great job of finding the act this year and making sure we continue the momentum we had last year." Altogether, 10,000 tickets were up for grabs. Fudge said the fact that some are gone shouldn't be a deterrent.
"We've got a lot of great seats left," he said. "The arena is a great place to see a concert and offers a very intimate setting. There's not a bad seat in the house."

Keith's hits include "Red Solo Cup," "I Love This Bar," "Should've Been A Cowboy" and "American Soldier" among others. Up and coming artist Brantley Gilbert will also perform at the June 22 concert. His single, "Country Must Be Country Wide" recently hit the fourth spot on the Billboard Country charts.

Fudge said tickets won't increase in price again prior to the show.

"Whenever we get these big national acts coming through, they determine what prices should be set at," he said. "The price they are now is what they will stay at."
